All UNC Kenan-Flagler major and minor students who graduate within an academic year (December, May, August) are recognized at the UNC Kenan-Flagler commencement ceremony in May. You will receive your diploma based on your official degree conferral term.
Be aware of the important graduation dates and complete a graduation application by the specified deadline to obtain graduation approval and to receive your diploma.
It is your responsibility to make sure you meet all requirements to successfully complete your degree.
The Tar Heel Tracker is a useful tool that allows students and advisors to track academic progress towards graduation. While the tracker will show if a requirement has or has not been satisfied, aspects of the tracker may not appropriately reflect your progress, so it should not be used as confirmation of your remaining degree requirements. Schedule a graduation check appointment with an academic advisor for the semester prior to your planned graduation, and as often as needed thereafter, to confirm your graduation requirements.
Once you submit the online graduation application by the posted deadline, the Undergraduate Business Program will complete a graduation audit and will notify you directly of any concerns that could prevent graduation approval.
If you are pursuing a second major or minor(s), make sure all programs are reflected on your academic record and contact the appropriate major/minor academic advising office to confirm you are on track with those requirements.
If you need to have an academic program added or removed from your record, request an academic plan change through your primary major school/college. Having an incomplete program on your academic record could result in the delay or denial of your graduation approval.
